In groups of 3-4 people:
1. Identify a course and
outline the learning outcomes
outline the assessment(s)
2. Choose 1 of the assessments outlined above and
discuss the approach used in the assessment for assessing the students
identify the approach and discuss the pros and cons
discuss the alignment of the assessment with the learning and teaching process
in what way(s) does the assessment complement student's learning
identify possible events in the assessment that create opportunities for conversations (feedback)
discuss how it could be improved
redesign the assessment (if needed) to reflect the qualities of an embedded assessment
